A Mitchell High School teacher faces felony charges for an alleged sexual relationship with a student.

Armando Luna Grez, 27, was booked into El Paso County Jail on a felony arrest warrant. He was being held in lieu of $4,000 bond.

Springs police said June 6 that Grez, 27, was charged with sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust. In May, the department’s Special Victims Section/Crimes Against Children opened the investigation, which allegedly involved a student under age 18.
