A new health care option is making its way to Southeast Colorado Springs.

Peak Vista Community Health Centers announced Monday it will open a new clinic at 1815 Jet Wing Drive. The center will be located in the site formerly occupied by Altierus Career College.

“We believe community is strengthened when access to exceptional health care is available,” Peak Vista President and CEO Pam McManus said in a statement. “We have heard about this need and have been working on this so we take action in 2019.

“Our Southeast community deserves to be one of the healthiest communities in Colorado Springs and our mission is to bring that vision to fruition.”

The facility, which will open its doors in mid-February, follows increased demand and need for integrated health services in the area, according to a press release.

The building will be remodeled to house six medical, two dental and two behavioral health providers, as well as enrollment services and clinical teams. Work is expected to take about nine months.

The new facility will be the second-such provider in the area. Value Care Health Clinic has been offering primary medical care in Southeast since 2014.
