CSPD blocking off South Murray Boulevard near East Fountain Boulevard.

A man was shot at approximately 5:22 a.m. at the intersection of East Fountain Boulevard and South Murray Boulevard, according to Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) public information officer Natasha Kerr. 

“When officers arrived, they located one adult male in the middle of the road with multiple apparent gunshot wounds,” said Kerr. “His injuries are serious and life-threatening.”

The victim was taken by ambulance from the scene. “The male victim was at the gas station when, at one point, an altercation ensured with another male,” Kerr said. “The suspect fled the scene. We do believe this is an isolated incident and there is no immediate threat to the public.”

South Murray Boulevard was blocked by CSPD at East Fountain Boulevard while officers conducted their investigation. A green Ford Taurus at the pump of the Conoco station was also taped off by CSPD.
