Shooting may be tied to road rage

The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Violent Crimes Section is investigating a Wednesday morning shooting that may have been the result of road rage.

It happened shortly before 9 a.m. Feb. 20 near the corner of East Fountain Boulevard and Jet Wing Drive. The victim  was hospitalized for treatment of a gunshot wound and was listed in critical condition, according to a press release.

The shooter is described as a black man in his 20s, with a mustache and wearing a hoodie. The car involved is preliminarily described as a possible gold-colored Chevrolet Impala with temp tags and damage to the passenger side.
